Fire in timber store in Ludhiana, no casualty

A major fire broke out in a timber store on the outskirts of this industrial town today, but no casualty was caused, police said here.
The unit located on Ludhiana-Ferozepur road caught fire, reasons of which were not known immediately, causing loss, a Fire Department official said.
They said the six fire tenders were pressed into service to bring the flames under control.
The fire was brought under control after nearly two hours, he said.
