Pawar was speaking at the ministers' meeting held tonight at Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's residence here.
State unit president Madhukar Pichad told PTI that Pawar took stock of the drought-relief measures and the performance of the guardian ministers of their respective districts belonging to his party.
"Pawar told them to ensure that the drought-relief measures are carried out on war footing. The ministers should make proper planning, so that the common man does not suffer," Pichad said.
Pawar told the ministers that there should be no excuse of the fire, if files and papers related to development works were not traced.
"Ministers should themselves collect information from Collectors and expedite the process," Pichad quoted Pawar as saying.
When asked about the biennial elections to 11 Legislative Council seats from the MLA quota to be held next month, Pichad said Pawar had authorised him and Ajit Pawar to finalise the candidates. "We will contest three seats," he said.
