The mock drill in Mantralaya will be held on Monday at 4 pm.

Senior bureaucrats have been appointed as marshals for the ground as well as the first three floors of Mantralaya, which have become functional since the last one week after the fire. Similarly, such marshals have been designated for all the six floors of the annexe building.

A hooter on the third floor of the main building will give the information about fire and the marshals, along with each of their three associates, will evacuate the staff on each of the floor designated to them through the nearest routes to safety.

The marshals' associates will activate the fire extinguishers and first-aid treatment. These associates will have a list of the staff on each of the floors who will check whether everybody has been evacuated or not.

Exit routes will be prominently displayed with maps. The mock drill will test the co-ordination and dialogue between the marshals.

Mock drill at the New Administrative building opposite Mantralaya will be held on Thursday. Each floor will have a floor marshal with four associates. After the fire alarm at 4 pm, all the lifts will be brought to the ground floor and the staff will be brought down through a staircase in a disciplined manner to avoid stampede.
