Traders said increased demand from retailers against tight supplies from producing belts mainly kept select pulses higher.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,950-7,050 and Rs 7,400-7,600 per quintal. Its dal best quality and dhoya edged up by the same margin to Rs 7600-8200 and Rs 8.000-8,400 per quintal.
Moong and its dal chilka local gained Rs 100 each to Rs 7,100-8,100 and Rs 8,000-8,500 per quintal. Its dal dhoya local and best quality enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 8,000-8,300 and Rs 8,800-8,900 per quintal respectively.
In line with general firm trend, gram, gramdal local and best quality were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,200-4,000, Rs 3,800-4,000 and Rs 3,900-4,200 per quintal respectively.
