FIRs lodged in India Mart fire case

Days after a fire broke out in an office run in a residential area of Raj Nagar here claiming five lives, FIRs have been lodged against building owners, managing director and senior manger of India Mart, police said.
Family members of slain Chandra Prakash Tyagi have filed a complaint against the accused on the basis of which an FIR has been lodged, they said.
Ram Avtar Tyagi has mentioned in his complaint that his grandson Chandra Prakash Tyagi died in the fire incident which took place due the negligence of building owner Radhey Shyam Tyagi, his son Rajneesh Tyagi and Dinesh Aggarwal (managing director) and Abhishek Mehta (senior manager), SHO Kavi Nagar Ashok Sishodia said.
Yesterday, Ratna Devi, mother of Reetam, who died in the fire, had lodged an FIR, police said.
"The case is under investigation and legal action will be initiated after the net outcome of probe," the SHO said.
The incident took place on May 14 at around 10.30 AM when the office of India Mart, located on second floor, caught fire after a blast in the air conditioner caused by short circuit.
