"To my knowledge Paglu 2 is the first Bengali film which has such elaborate fight scenes in the deserts of UAE. We worked for hours in the soaring heat to perfect the shots. I hope the effort shows on the screen and will look good as Paglu 2 is a very technically sound movie," Deb told PTI at a film premier here last week.
Besides UAE, the movie had its shoots in the snow-clad mountains in Switzerland, places where Yash Chopra had shot the timeless Chandni and France.
"There was a time when we had to change 10 hotels in flat eight day period and wear thin dresses under sub-sero temperature," Deb, the hero of at least 10 Bengali blockbusters in last four years, said.
Coming to his on-screen chemistry with Koel, his pair in super-duper hit Paglu which had run for over three months two years back, Deb said "she is a leading actress in Bengali film industry and we vibe well I guess."
Deb, who has also turned up opposite several other Tollywood actresses including Subhoshree, said he was hopeful about turning up opposite Koel in future films, including Paglu 3 as hopefully she will act in films again after marriage with a big notch young Bengali film producer. More
