The first chartered flight from Moscow was given warm welcome in the morning at the state's Dabolim airport.
Russia has been one of the biggest market for Goa's tourism industry which is also expecting good arrivals from the UK and other countries.

Goa Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar in his message to welcome the guests has asked people to exercise restrain while venturing into the sea.
Ajgaonkar's statement issued to the media appeals to the tourists visiting Goa for thefestive and longweekend to enjoy their stay in Goa and to beresponsible andrefrain from endangering their lives.
He said, "As Goa is decked up for thefestiveseason andis an attractiveholiday spot for tourists to enjoy the festivefervour,Iwish everyonevisiting the state a pleasantand enjoyable stay.
"Do abide by instructionsof the locals andpolice as they are your guides in helping you from risking or endangering your lives.
"We want you toreturnhomewith good memories of Goa andwant you to revisitthe statein future," the minister added.
