The vessel 'Aadesh' was delivered to the Coast Guard after successful completion of all its trials on September 25, a CSL release said here.
It will be operated by the Coast Guard station at Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu.
The vessel is the first in a series of 20 FPVs contracted by CSL for the ICG in 2010 with the delivery of the last craft slated for 2017.
The primary role of the vessel include fisheries protection and monitoring, patrol within the country's exclusive economic zone (EEZ) and coastal patrol, anti- smuggling, search and rescue operations and for anti-piracy operations.
