Italian architect David Fisher, who is constructing the world's first building-in-motion, the Dynamic Tower in Dubai, sees great opportunity for building a similar skyscraper in the country.
"I see India will be a great opportunity to build a rotating skyscraper. Several realty players here have approached us for constructing a building in motion," the architect of the Dynamic Tower, David Fisher told PTI here.
Without revealing the names of developers and the location, Fisher said, he will make an official announcement soon and the construction of a 400-metre skyscraper will take 22 months to complete.
His company has constructed the world's first building in motion in the US and is set to start work on a similar project in Dubai, which is home to the world's tallest tower- Burj Khalifa.
The Dynamic Tower offers many design possibilities, as each floor rotates independently to create a building that constantly changes shape, resulting in a unique and ever evolving architectural structure.
The Dynamic Tower is also the first skyscraper to be built entirely from pre-fabricated parts that are custom-made, resulting in cost savings. It also requires far fewer workers on the construction site, thereby dramatically lowering construction costs.
Fisher has spent over 30 years working to redefine the technical and technological extremes of buildings in cities like New York, London, Hong Kong, Paris Dubai and Moscow.
The Dynamic Tower, also know as the Da Vinci Tower, is a 420-meter (1,380 ft) tower with 80 floors and is the first building designed to be self-powered, with the ability to generate its own electricity as it achieves this feat with wind turbines fitted between each rotating floor.
