"We have secured possibly the largest outsourcing contract of the country from Sky for a period of 10 years," company chairman Sanjiv Goenka said, without disclosing the exact value.
Sources, however, have valued the contract between Rs 11,000 and 12,000 crore.
Goenka said that the Sky contract would shore up revenue and bottomline and further strengthen the revenue from the UK market. Around 1,200 employees of Sky would join Firstsource.
The combined UK and USA revenues contribute more than 90 per cent of the total turnover for Firstsource.
The company also announced a consolidated net profit of Rs 69.7 crore for the third quarter ending December, 2016 up four per cent from the corresponding period profit of Rs 67.6 crore.
The company's total income has increased from Rs 820.65 crore for the corresponding quarter of 2015-16 to Rs 886.81 crore for the quarter ended December 2016.
