The court slapped a fine of Rs 1,000 on each one of them and also ordered trial of a minor boy involved in the case in the Juvenile Justice Board.
Second Additional District judge J P Singh passed the sentence on Ashok Kuchbandia, Mohammad Khan, Suraj Raikwar, Mukundi Ahirwar and Halkai Ahirwar all residents of Shahgarh town, public prosecutor Ramawtar Tiwari told reporters.
The accused had a dispute with the victim's father, Harishankar Vishwakarma, over an agriculture land, following which they had set his 16-year-old daughter ablaze.
