Five held for attacking a youth

Five persons were arrested for allegedly attacking a youth for being in the company of a girl belonging to another community at Nanthur near here last evening, police said.
The youth, owner of a shop in the city centre mall, was attacked when he was dropping his colleague near her house. The girl, hailing from Madikeri, was also working at the mall, police said.
On the basis of a complaint from the youth, the Kadri police have registered a case and investigation was in progress, they said.
