The victims, all men, were yet to be identified.
They were coming to the city from Pallipalayam in Namakkal when the mishap occurred.
The vehicle, which was on the six-lane highway, suddenly collided with the bus and under the impact fell from the flyover.
The driver was admitted to a government hospital here in a serious condition, police said.
