Five passengers of a mini bus were killed and ten others injured when their vehicle hit a bridge on NH-34 at Kolajal in Kamrup district of Assam early today, police said.
The driver of the bus, coming from Siliguri in West Bengal to Manipur through Assam, was suspected to have hit the bridge because of dense fog and failure to see the subways due to road construction in the wee hours.
The injured, including a child, were admitted to the Gauhati Medical College Hospital.
All the passengers hailed from Manipur, police said.
