Five killed in Karnataka mishap

Five persons were today killed on the spot and 16 others injured when a multi-utility passenger vehicle fell into a ditch near Udkeri, 65 km from here, police said.
The victims included three women, they said.
The injured, including driver, were hospitalised here, police said, adding, the condition of four was stated to be serious.
The group was returning from Yallamma temple at Savadatti.
