The victims hailing from Tumkur were returning home after a pilgrimage to Sigandhur when the car and the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus collided at Geddalahalli near Kadur, police said.
Four persons were killed on the spot while another died at government hospital in Chikmagalur where five injured are undergoing treatment, police said.
