Five startups, incubated at the Kerala Startup Mission, have graduated and started working as independent companies at the Technopark here.
Setting a new model for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in the state, the first batch of startups in KSUM -- Zestybeanz, Creace, Akira, Techrista, Mirox -- together formed a consortium with the support of Technopark and moved into a commonly furnished room at Nila building in the Park, a release said today.
Minister for IT and Industries P K Kunhalikkutty inaugurated the new office space of the companies in the presence of P H Kurian, Principal Secretary, Department of IT and Industries and Girish Babu, CEO, Technopark.
"This is a new model achieved through the collective effort of the startup companies. It is also an accomplishment for the Kerala State Government which has come out with various policies to support SME companies," the minister said.
According to KSUM officials, 17 more startups are expected to graduate from the incubation facility.
