Nine Volvo buses were added to the fleet on April 9, Director General of Haryana Transport Department Arun Kumar said today.
Kumar said the state government is making efforts to provide more buses, and hopefully from June passengers will get Super Luxury Volvo bus for Chandigarh at an interval of one hour from Gurgaon.
The fare for travelling in this bus from Gurgaon to Chandigarh is Rs 595, he said, adding, the buses have 49 seats.
Facilities like charging points, a big LCD TV and drinking water bottle and a newspaper free of cost are available in the bus.
Kumar also launched intra-city bus service with 72 buses from the Leisure Valley Park.
Stating that this was a long standing demand of the residents here, he said the state government has decided to provide a total of 100 buses for this service here.

The rest will be provided within next 6 months, Kumar said, adding, out of the 72, 15 buses are air conditioned.
These buses will ply from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
According to Kumar, the state government is considering to start AC Volvo buses from Gurgaon to Jaipur and Agra also.
