Mukeshbhai Sharma (42), his wife Lalitaben Sharma(40), and their daughters--Jhanvi (15), Jinal (12) andPriyanshi (5) --jumped into a canal linked to Sedha river atGhoghawada village near Kathlal town, they said.
Bodies of Lalitaben and her daughter Jhanvi were recovered from two different villages while that of other three were yet to be recovered, police said.
Mahuda police, in Kheda district, said that body of Lalitaben was recovered from the canal near Khandivav village,while Mehmadabad police said Jhanvi's body was recovered froma canal at Jariya village.
Mukeshbhai ran a grocery shop at Walan Falia inKathlal town.
While the exact cause of the extreme steps taken bythe man, his wife and his three daughters was not clear, police said, adding it suspects financial crisis could be one of the reasons.
