"The IIC Technologies Ltd would commence its passenger service (Air Himalays) between Shimla, Kullu, Chandigarh and Dharamsala from June 9," a government spokesperson said today.
Urban Development minister Sudhir Sharma will launch the air-service by flagging off a flight from Jubbar Hatti airport near Shimla.
He said the company will operate daily flights between Chandigarh and Kullu, Chandigarh and Shimla, Shimla and Gaggal, Gaggal and Shimla and Shimla and Chandigarh.
This will not only provide air connectivity to the state but also boost tourism, he added.

Meanwhile, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) has requested Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh to support the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
