Low-lying areas of the city, including residential colonies as well as temples located in the vicinity of the Sangam, have been lying submerged for quite some time.

He also issued an appeal to the common people to avoid visiting river banks for the purpose of sightseeing and clicking of selfies.
A young man had drowned in the Ganga on Saturday when he slipped while trying to take a selfie alongside the swollen river bed.
