"Work on the Main supply-line has been completed, and we are waiting for the people to apply for connection," the Executive Engineer of the department, Nazare Imam said here today.
The work was taken up soon after separate teams from Delhi-based Research and Rural Development Foundation and National Human Rights Commission visited Pratapur and nearby areas in September last year following reports stating fluoride content in water had caused diseases to 97 persons.
Nazare said work at supply-line at nearby Hulhula-kala and Hulhula-khurag villages was going on and would be completed soon.
A Rs 1.94 crore project, which was proposed for a drinking water project for some villages in 2007-08, has not yet been completed, he added.
