Flying squad seizes Rs 10 lakh ahead of Himachal polls

The money was seized from one R S Mittal at Indora Mod near Punjab border of the state.

"The motto of this (money) transportation is being examined by police and IT Department," DC Kangra K R Bharti, who is also assuming the charge of District Election Officer, said.

Bharti said an amount of Rs 5.35 Lakh was seized from one Sumit Mahajan on October 15 as well.

"All related departments have been made more vigilant particularly around the border of the state," he said on measures being taken ahead of the November 4 assembly polls in Himachal Pradesh.
