"You have a free hand and there would be no pressure or demand for any undue favour in your drive to check graft. This would give clear message to people about the government's policy of zero tolerance towards corruption," he told officials after inaugurating the newly built building of State Vigilance Bureau here.
Khattar appreciated the bureau for its efficiency and said since the formation of the present government in October, 2014, it has so far registered 334 cases. Out of these, 58 are public servants and 31 of them have been punished.
Citing an example, Khattra said the government has left no scope for anyone to use discretionary powers in the recent recruitment drive by the Haryana Public Service Commission and Haryana Staff Selection Commission.
Both the Commissions uploaded the results soon after the interviews on the same day, he said.
Khattar announced to set up two more stations of the Vigilance Bureau in Faridabad and Karnal and said with this, the number of such stations would raise to seven in the state.
