Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba said the state has started preparing a roadmap on programmes to be taken up for IT in the next four years, an official release said.
Presiding a high-level meeting, he said the state has begun work to make Digital India and Make in India programmes a success.
The government, he said, intended to achieve its goals set for IT by associating itself with commercial and educational institutions, NASSCOM, Manufacturing Association of India and Semi Conductor Manufacturing Association.
The meeting, attended among others by Chief Executive Officer (Telecom Sector Skill Council) S P Kochhar, discussed about skill training of youth as it could play an important role in the IT sector, the release said.
The state would discuss its IT policy in its next meeting on November 23, it added.
