Foetus partially eaten by dogs recovered

A foetus with one of its arm and a leg eaten by dogs was recovered from Gurunanakpur area here today.
Upon receiving information, police reached the spot and recovered the foetus. However an arm and a leg of the foetus was already eaten up by dogs, police said.
The foetus was sent to the hospital for probe, they said.
A case under Sections 315 (to prevent child being born alive or to cause it to die after birth) and 318 (concealment of birth by secret disposal of body) of the IPC was registered against unknown persons.
