Fog, cold weather prevails across UP; Lakhimpur Kheri coldest

Dense to very dense fog coupled with cold weather conditions prevailed across Uttar Pradesh, with Lakhimpur Kheri recording the lowest temperature at 3 degrees Celsius.
Eastern parts of the state bore the brunt of dense to very dense fog, while weather was more or less dry over other parts of the state, the Met office said today.
The day temperature was below normal in Faizabad, Lucknow and Bareilly divisions.
The night temperature was below normal in Faizabad, Gorakhpur, Allhabad, Kanpur, Lucknow and Moradabad divisions.
Weather is most likely to remain dry in the next two days and shallow to moderate fog is very likely at isolated places over the state during the period, the weather office forecast.
