Food & Supply dept directs officials to keep offices clean

In keeping with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of clean India, Food and Supply Department has directed to properly clean all 2,500 fair price shops and circle offices.
Sajjan Singh Yadav, commissioner of Food Supplies and Consumer Affairs, has directed assistant commissioners to coordinate with fair price shops and ensure cleanliness of their premises, replacement of old notice, information, sign boards and also to create awareness about cleanliness and sanitation.
Yadav also said that all the zonal offices and 70 circle offices of food supply department would organise 'Cleanliness Campaign' and 'Shram Dan' at their respective offices, circle offices and its surroundings in active participation of their staffs.
"Three best circle offices and three best fair price shops will be given awards for cleaning up and better maintenance of the offices and FPSs. The each zonal assistant commissioner will recommend three best circle offices and 3 Best Fair Price Shops in his district for maintaining cleanliness," he added.
According to the department, all officers will take pledge to create awareness about cleanliness and sanitation on October 2.
The best circle offices and three FPSs will be given awards on October 31 at a separate function organised by the department to keep clean their offices.
