The minimum temperature was 8.9 notches above normal in Shimla and highest on this day in the past 15 years, local MeT office said.
The state has witnessed continuous dry spell since October 1 to November 26 with the region experiencing 5.6 mm average rains against normal rainfall of 56.8 mm, a deficit of over 90 per cent.
The rain deficit was 99 per centin Hamirpur and Lahaul and Spiti, followed by Kinnaur (97 per cent),Kullu 91 (per cent), Chamba (87 per cent), Shimla 85 (per cent), Sirmaur 82 (per cent).
The local Met office has predicted dry weather in the region over next six days from November 27 onwards.
