The Comic Con Express, the travelling version of Comic Con is all set to take place in Pune from February 21
Jatin Varma, founder, Comic Con India, says Pune will actually witness a "smaller version" of the event, which is poised to be turned into an annual event depending on local response.
"It's an express version, a smaller version. We are planning to test out the city's response," he says.
Like any other Comic Con event, Pune's comic-crazy youths would have a glimpse of traditional merchandise in the two-day convention . Fans can also turn into their favourite super heroes in Costume Play, winners of which are poised to travel to Middle East Film and Comic Con 2016.

"We are looking forward to good response in Pune. The market in India is growing. The audience in my shows are growing day by day," Varma says.
He says he has plans to take the convention for fans of comic books, superhero movies, video games, etc -to cities like Kolkata and Ahmedabad soon.
"No plans for tier-two cities for now, but we have plans for cities like Ahmedabad and Kolkata," says Varma.
The earlier three express versions in Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad have been converted into annual events.
"For eg , China is a bigger market as compared to India, so the response for a 'Star Wars' is much bigger there as compared to India," he adds.
