Forces launch anti-naxal op on Jharkhand-Chhattisgarh border

The joint team of security forces, comprising CRPF, the elite anti-naxal squad CoBRA and Jaguars of Jharkhand police have begun search operations on the tri-junction of Latehar, Garhwa (both in Jharkhand) and Balrampur district in Chhattisgarh.
Security sources said the naxals are understood to have congregated for a meeting held for reviewing organisational affairs of local Maoist groups.
The forces had launched the operation a few days back but sources said.
Meanwhile, police sources in Chhattisgarh said that suspected Naxals have killed a trainee constable under Bhansi police station in Dantewada district of the state.
Naxals have also killed six suspected police informers in the state during this month, they claimed.
