Vehicles manufactured between July 3, 2012 and November 26, 2014 will be recalled, the watchdog, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement.
There were concerns that the oil tubes of affected vehicles may crack and cause fuel leakage, which could pose a threat to safety in extreme cases, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
Changan Ford Automobile Co Ltd, a joint venture between Changan Automobile and the American automaker Ford, said it would replace the tubes free of charge.
