Summary of observations recorded at 0830 hrs:
The withdrawal line continues to pass through Uttarkashi, Agra, Shivpur Kalyan, Gandhinagar, Dwarka, Lat. 22 0N/ Long. 65.0E and Lat. 22 0N/ Long. 60.0E. The east- west shear zone now runs roughly along Lat. 13N between 3.1 & 4.5 kms a. s. l. The cyclonic circulation extending upto 1.5 kms a. s. l. over Telangana and neighbourhood persists.
The trough from above cyclonic circulation to Gangetic West Bengal across Chhattisgarh and Odisha has become less marked. The cyclonic circulation over a Gulf of Martaban now lies over eastcentral Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood and extends upto 4.5 kms a. s. l. Under its influence a low pressure area is likely to form over north Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood during next 48 hrs.
A cyclonic circulation extending upto 1.5 kms a. s. l. lies over eastcentral Arabian Sea off Karnataka - north Kerala coasts. The western disturbance as a cyclonic circulation at 3.1 kms a. s. l. over north Pakistan and neighbourhood persists. System is likely to move eastnortheastwards. The cyclonic circulations over (i) Bangla Desh and neighbourhood and (ii) eastcentral Arabian Sea and adjoining areas of south Madhya Maharashtra and coastal Karnataka have become less marked.
In the regions from where the southwest Monsoon has withdrawn: day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan and of Gujarat Region and were above normal in some parts of Punjab, Haryana. They were normal over the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature recorded was 41.0C at Churu (west Rajasthan).
Night temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and of west Rajasthan and were above normal in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir and of Gujarat Region. They were normal over the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature recorded was 18.0C at Sikar (east Rajasthan).
The southwest Monsoon has been active over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka. It has been subdued over Assam and Meghalaya, West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat Region, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha and Kerala.
