Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan, Portugal on India visit

India will host foreign ministers of natural resource-rich Kazakhstan and Portugal, who are arriving here tomorrow.
While Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo de Sacadura Cabral Portas will be on his first official visit from March 3-7, Kazakhstan Foreign Affairs Minister Yerlan Idrissov will be here till March 5 to discuss ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Defence, counter terrorism and civil nuclear cooperation will be among the key issues which will be discussed between External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid and his Kazakh counterpart.
"India and Kazakhstan enjoy a strategic partnership since 2009 which has been marked by regular high level exchanges and growing cooperation in diverse areas. Bilateral relationship between both the countries encompasses a number of strategic sectors including defence, counter terrorism, civil nuclear cooperation, hydrocarbons, IT, S&T and education," Ministry of External Affairs said.
During his stay, the Portuguese Foreign Minister along with his delegation will also visit Mumbai and Goa.
"During his stay in New Delhi, the Foreign Minister will hold talks with Khurshid. Both sides will discuss bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest. A number of other engagements are envisaged during the visit," MEA said.
Portugal is home to the third largest population of people of Indian origin in Europe.
