The court said the blood sample found on the shirt of the husband did not match with that of the wife.
Further, the prosecution case was demolished as the victim, during the trial of the case, had said she did not see the person who had attacked her from behind.
Special Judge Rakesh Pandit, while noting that the wife herself denied involvement of her husband, said the prosecution failed to give plausible explanation about the presence of blood stain of 'O' group on his shirt while the blood group of the victim appeared to be 'B'.
"On the shirt of the accused, the blood group 'O' was found while on other exhibits blood group 'B' was found. From the perusal of the said report, it appears that the blood group of victim is 'B'," the report said.

The court found the unexplained mismatch of the blood groups vital, specially because the accused -- south-west Delhi resident Ravi Kumar Singh -- had stated that some unknown person had attacked his wife and in order to solve the blind case, he was falsely implicated in the case.
Another claim of the agency that one of couple's neighbour, an eyewitness, had claimed that it was Singh who had assaulted her failed to impress the court after the witness denied the same before it.
The prosecution also failed to prove the motive of the offence and the connection between the weapon used in the crime and the wound on the victim.
According to the police, on September 27, 2015 on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi festival, the accused had called his wife a few times when she had gone out which she failed to receive.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital but since the injuries were grave, she was taken to the AIIMS Trauma Centre.
Following this, the accused was arrested. However, he was granted bail during pendency of the trial.
The accused, a driver by profession, had pleaded not guilty and claimed trial.
He had stated that in order to solve the blind case, he was falsely implicated by the police and all the proceedings were manipulated by police officials.
