Forest guard injured in leopard attack

A 35-year-old forest guard was injured when a leopard attacked him in a forest here.
The guard, Ramdas Jairam Vatane, was yesterday supervising at a forest nursery in Koshimbe village here when the feline hiding in grass attacked him.
Vatane sustained injuries on his back and leg.
He was being treated in the civil hospital here, a forest department official said.
Meanwhile, the villagers asked the forest department officials to trap two leopards which were seen moving in the human habitats in the area.
