"I met him to know how he is doing after an eye operation which he underwent recently. It is not that every time we discuss serious matters," Singh told reporters here.
In reply to a question regarding recent exposures made by IAC activist Arvind Kejriwal, Singh said, "I am not associated with any party, individual or a group".
Asked whether he had plans to contest next general elections, Singh said he had not given any thought to that proposition.
Earlier delivering a lecture here, the former Army chief exhorted the youth to support mass movements to eradicate corruption and work to send "good people" to Parliament in order to change and correct the system.
"Scams after scams are coming to light. Unless we stand up and fight corruption collectively, it will continue unabated," he said, adding that the country's democracy would become truly representative only if the common man's voice is heard.
Singh said the time had come to fix a retirement age for the country's politicians in order to introduce the younger generation into politics and change the old order.
