BJP MLA and Goa's former deputy chief minister Francis D'Souza returned to the state Wednesday after undergoing medical treatment in the United States for nearly two months.
D'Souza, 63, is suffering from an undisclosed ailment. He had been admitted to a private hospital in the US.
The Mapusa MLA was accompanied by his family members as his flight landed at Goa airport Wednesday evening.
"I don't know the details of the political situation in the state. Let me take a stock of the situation and get back to you in two days," he told reporters, when asked about the political uncertainly in the state due to Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar's illness.
D'Souza and Pandurang Madkaikar were dropped from the cabinet by Parrikar on account of the two leaders' ill-health in the last week of September.
D'Souza had expressed unhappiness over this, saying he was not consulted before he was dropped.
Parrikar inducted Milind Naik and Nilesh Cabral in the cabinet after dropping D'Souza and Madkaikar.
