Former headmaster questioned by the police

A former headmaster of Bajrakote UP School in Odisha's Ganjam district was questioned by the police in connection with alleged misappropriation of funds meant for construction of the school building under Sarva Sikhsha Abhiyan.
A junior engineer was also being quizzed in connection with the matter, Inspector In-Charge of Bhanjanagar police station A K Sahu said.
Block education officer (Bhanjanagar) Rama Krisnha Rao had lodged a complaint against the former headmaster who was quizzed yesterday.
He was the headmaster of the school when the work was going on in 2010-11, he said.
