"For some work Kanchhal had gone to the court, where a group of 15-20 lawyers misbehaved with him and damaged window panes of his vehicle", IG, STF Sujeet Pandey said.
Kanchhal, who is also a trade union leader, has registered an FIR against eight lawyers at Wazeerganj police station.
The incident was stated to be the fallout of dispute between a lawyer and Kanchhal for a shop at Latouche road here, police said.
