Former Pondy CM Farook remembered

Leaders and functionaries of different wings of the ruling Congress today paid homage to former Chief Minister of Puducherry MOH Farook, on his fifth death anniversary, here today.
Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, PCC president and PWD Minister A Namassivayam, party MLAs and freedom fighters were among those who paid floral tributes to the portrait of the late leader here.
Farook was the Speaker of Puducherry between 1980 and 1983.
Besides, being a Minister in the Central cabinet, Farook was the Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
He was instrumental in the establishment of a Central University in Puducherry and was considered to be a king maker in Puducherry politics.
