Over six lakh students would appear for the examinations, both in Regular and Ex-Regular streams in about 2,882 examination centres spread across the state.
The examinations would continue till March 4, said BSE president D P Nanda.
Hoping that the two-week long examination would end smoothly without any hiccups with everybody's cooperation, Nanda said all arrangements for the examination were over.
"A three-tier examination squad along with special squads of the Board have been formed to check use of unfair means during the examination," he said adding the police have been mobilised by the respective district Superintendents of Police to provide security at the nodal centres and maintain law and order at examination centres.
Similarly, adequate numbers of OMR answer sheets have been dispatched to each examination centre, which would be used for marking the correct answers of multiple-choice objective questions, Nanda added.
