Forward Bloc rules out post-poll alliance with Congress

Ruling out possibilities of a post-poll alliance with Congress, All India Forward Bloc, an ally of the Left Front, today said a propaganda has been ushered to politically mislead the masses.
"We are not going to support the Congress after the elections. From some sections it is being spread that in order to prevent BJP, we might support Congress after the polls, but this is completely wrong and is being spread to mislead the people," said AIFB general secretary Debarata Biswas, while releasing the election manifesto of the party here.
"It is better to ask those who are trying to spread such things. I have said whatever I have to say," he said.

When asked about his reactions on the comments of Defence Minister A K Antony, who had said that the Left should support the Congress after the elections, Biswas said, "Our political stand is equidistant from the Congress and the BJP. With all respect to Mr Antony, in his home state Kerala too, the LDF and UDF are fighting against each other.
