Foundation Day of BJP celebrated in tribal town of Dahod
Press Trust of India Ahmedabad Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel and other state-level senior BJP leaders including several ministers today celebrated the 35th Foundation Day of the BJP in the tribal town of Dahod, party sources said.
On the occasion, around 25,000 BJP workers, dressed in orange, green and white clothes, also formed a giant replica of the lotus in an area of one lakh square feet.
In her speech, Patel promised to provide potable water to each and every home in the tribal districts of Dahod and Panchmahal through a pipeline network, adding that her government had already allocated Rs 31 crore for this project.
Meanwhile, former Gujarat Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel, who has retired from active politics, paid a courtesy visit to the state BJP office in Gandhinagar today, where he was greeted by Gujarat state BJP president R C Faldu and other senior leaders.
