The road will be repaired at the cost of Rs 37.40 crore sanctioned by the Uttar Pradesh government.
After laying the foundation, Prajapati addressed a gathering and said," Samajwadi Party government has only one agenda and it is development of the state."
The minister also dismissed the allegations of malpractices by his supporters or himself in the just concluded tri-level panchayat polls raised by different parties including Congress and said that district officials have done their duties well.
The road, which falls under Rahul Gandhi's constituency, was in bad condition due to alleged neglect.
