"After Abohar the second park will come at Ladhowal in Ludhiana," Chairman Punjab State Agro Industries Corporation Amrik Singh Aliwal said, adding it will be developed at a cost of Rs 118 crore in 200 acres land.
"The food park will boost the state's economy and benefit a large number of farmers and businessmen. It will be a hub for food processing and agricultural products not only for Punjab but for northern India," he said
The food park will have a capacity to process 63,000 tonnes of fruits and vegetables annually, the chairman said.
Punjab government is trying to operationalise this food park at the earliest.
