Acting on a tip off about movement of arms suppliers under jurisdiction of Dhanarua police station, a police team nabbed four persons from a bundh (canal) and seized four pistols, eight ammunition and three mobile phones from them, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Manu Maharaj said.
The arrested arms suppliers, identified as Suresh Paswan, Ravindra Ram, Laxman Kumar alias Andwa and Sanjeet Kumar - all locals - had brought the consignment of weapons from Munger to supply it to clients in mostly the Maoist-affected districts like Patna, Gaya, Arwal, Jehanabad and adjoining districts, the SSP said.
Suresh Paswan has been jailed in the past on similar charges, the SSP said.
