Rajendra Nirmal Kumar, a resident of Bangalore, was arrested by CID unit of Nellore yesterday. He was allegedly involved in 10 out of 11 cases in Nellore district.
At the instance of Parthasarathi Suresh of Pondicherry, Kumar arranged two trucks of illicit liquor during the April-May elections, police said, adding that he revealed that the liquor had been manufactured in Goa.
With the help of Kumar and Sankaraiah, Reddy procured two lorry loads of spurious liquor and sold it through his shops in Kadapa and Chittoor districts of Andhra Pradesh, police said.
"The excise officials also admitted to their involvement in bringing spurious liquor from Bangalore and Goa," CID said in a press release.
