Four arrested for planning to murder rival gang member

Four alleged criminals were arrested today for planning to murder a member of a rival gang in RS Pura area of the district, a police spokesman said.
The four were arrested while they were on their way allegedly to murder a rival gang member, he said.
Acting on a tip-off, a picket was laid to stop the four bike-borne youths, sources said, adding, the pillion riders on the motorcycles fired at the police.
The accused were arrested and a case has been registered under relevant sections of RPC, the spokesperson said.
