With the arrests, the Crime Branch have exposed a scam and busted a gang that was involved recruitment in Delhi Police and other government departments, said Ravindra Yadav, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch).
Complainant Amit Kumar had alleged that the gang took Rs 12 lakh from 10 candidates for recruitment in Delhi Police in 2012.
He had alleged that gang members had arranged fake marksheets, fake driving licenses and other documents for the recruits.
Working on the case, Crime Branch team arrested three Delhi Police constables Ashok, Vijay and Vinod Chhikara on August 10 and later one more accused Mohit, who worked in a Biometric company, was also arrested, the officer said.

During interrogation, the accused admitted that they had got jobs in Delhi Police with the forged documents.
The case is being investigated to unearth the complete scam and to find out how many more candidates got recruited through forged documents and cheating, the officer added.
